Chamber Music Conferece at Colgate University (Hamilton, NY, USA)

I’m excited to be returning to the Chamber Music Conference (CMC) at Hamilton, NY as a faculty member for Week 1, from July 6 to July 13. Alongside a full week of teaching, I’ll be performing Haydn’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 20, No. 2 on Wednesday, July 9, with fellow faculty members Yezu Woo, Mayuki Fukuhara, and Laura Metcalf. I’m really looking forward to making music together and reconnecting with the CMC community.

In August, I’ll be heading to Taiwan for two chamber music concerts—in Tainan and Taipei—presented by the Wan Sha Performing Arts Center. Back when I was a student at the Curtis Institute of Music, I performed Taneyev’s Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 30 with my friend and wonderful violinist, Hsuan-Hao Hsu. We were both so inspired by the piece that we promised to play it again someday in our home country. Now, twelve years later, that promise is finally coming true!

I’m especially excited to collaborate for the first time with Simon Thompson, principal cellist of the National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan), and pianist Oscar Lin, assistant professor at the National Taipei University of Education. I’ll also be performing again with the fantastic violinist Hsin-Yun Wu.

I’m truly looking forward to these musical moments this summer—can’t wait to share them with you!
